About Our Service

What sets us apart among other photographers in Utah County and surrounding areas is that we are a fine art, full-service studio committed to providing our clients with exceptional service and beautiful, classic artwork. By “full-service,” I mean that we are there for you every step of the way, from the planning of your session to the delivery of your final finished products. We won’t leave you with an impersonal experience and a link to images that never make it past being just 1s and 0s of data.

To put it another way, it’s like this: Many photographers are “DIY” in regards to printing, meaning that they only provide digitals and expect you to print your own photos at consumer labs or kiosks with varying results and hit-or-miss subpar quality. As a full-service studio, on the other hand, we take on the roles much like a professional contractor. We are highly trained in our craft and follow safety standards in regards to handling and posing your infant; we consult with you to design the session and accompanying products to suit your home, style, and decor; we take care of the sizes and measurements; we use only high quality products from labs that work exclusively with professional photographers; we make sure that your artwork meets our high quality control standards as a professional; and, the result is beautiful, finished, heirloom quality artwork that is ready to be displayed in your home, with no additional work or stress on your part.

In short, we provide the service and quality you would expect from a professional “contractor” so that you won’t have to do the work or worry about the results of DIY design and printing. Here’s a little bit of what you can expect from us in regards to our services:

We want to hear from you! The easiest way would be to contact us through our Contact Form HERE. If you prefer a phone call as your primary means of communication, please send us your name and phone number so we can arrange a time when it would be convenient for us to call and speak with you.

After the initial inquiry, we try to set up an in-person meeting where we meet each other and go over any questions you may have, and we will also have some questions for you. Together we’ll go over your goals for the session, when your baby is due, who will be included in the session, what your personalities and styles are like, what you and your family like to do together, any props or clothing you would like to incorporate in the session, what details and poses you like, etc. We’ll go over styling your session and any questions you may have, and you’ll also get to see and feel our wide range of fine art products.  Once you see we’re the right photographer for you, we’ll go ahead and proceed with booking and process your retainer so we can reserve your slot on our calendar.

When you arrive to our home studio in Provo for your session, we usually will take the first 15 minutes or so to make sure that Baby gets nice and full, so please come prepared to feed your baby. (There’s no need to show up early to your appointment. We plan for this and other feedings throughout the course of the session as needed so that Baby stays nice and comfortable. Moms are sometimes surprised by how much their baby eats during a session, so please come prepared for at least 2-3 feedings. Sometimes the moving and stimulation prompts babies to want to eat or suck more. Plus, it’s hard work being so cute all the time in front of the camera. 😉 ) Once we’re ready to start, we’ll usually do the parent and sibling poses first before moving on to the bean bag poses of baby. Then it’s your turn to sit back and relax while we go through those adorable baby poses. We take the utmost care while handling your baby, and we do our best to style the images based on what you shared with us at your consultation. Most sessions typically last 2-3 hours (although some can be done sooner), so please plan your schedule accordingly. Water and light snacks are available for parents and siblings, and we also have diapers, wipes, and a bottle warmer on hand.

Not long after your session we’ll meet again for the big reveal, which is when you will see your photos for the first time. This is probably THE most rewarding part of my job! I love seeing clients’ reactions when they see their photos! Usually the Reveal takes place back here at our home studio. Anyone is welcome to come to this session, but because of limited seating we ask that only the parents and no more than one or two other guests who are close to the family come to this appointment, although guests are entirely optional. Most parents come by themselves and find the selection process easier and more enjoyable when they treat it as a special outing and leave the kids with a family member or babysitter. We play a special presentation of your photos and provide light refreshments, such as sparkling cider, cream puffs or cheesecake squares (I think some of you are starting to understand why Mom and Dad might leave their kids at home so they don’t have to share… haha) or some fresh seasonal fruit. It’s a celebration of the art we were able to create of your loved ones, so please come ready to enjoy and relax, but please also make sure that all decision makers can be present because this is where you will finalize your Collection and decide which images you would like to turn into artwork for your home.

We understand that investing in your family’s memories and legacy is SO important. That is why we offer a few options to help make it easy for anyone to be able to purchase the Collection they really want. After you finalize your Collection and choose any add-ons or gifts, we will collect and process your payment. We also offer interest-free payment plans that you can pay in installments so you can get that Collection that you REALLY want that will become part of your family’s history and legacy for the next 100 years or more.

Once your Collection is paid in full, we order your selected products from our various professional labs. This can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks depending on your selections and finishing options. Once it’s had a chance to be inspected, we attach our Warranty information, package and wrap everything up carefully, and then your artwork is finally ready for you to pick up and take home to display! It’s as simple as that. No more searching for a disc 3+ years later and sadly realizing you never put those images to use. We do all the work for you, and because of our superior and archival quality, your fine art prints, albums, and canvases are guaranteed to last so you can share them with your family and loved ones for generations to come.
